WHAT IS A COMMUNITY RESERVE SITE?
These are parcels of land gifted to Milton Keynes Community Foundation in 1992 by the then Milton Keynes Development Corporation.
The aim of this portfolio was to ensure that land that was both accessible and affordable would be available to local voluntary and community groups for development for the benefit of the Milton Keynes Community.
These sites are all managed by the property arm of the Milton Keynes Community Foundation – MK Community Properties Ltd. This company is ultimately responsible for the long term development of these sites and that they are developed for the benefit of the local Milton Keynes community, whilst ensuring that the needs of the voluntary sector are met.
Any profits made from the development of these sites is passed to the Milton Keynes Community Foundation and goes to fund grants offered to the voluntary and community sectors.
